With Hair Care as a multi-million dollar industry, our shelves are filled with numerous products to make our hair look good. However, it never hurts to try them in samples before a bulk purchase. Here are a few tips to keep in mind before you start.
Oiling has always been a recommended step for most hair care routines. It has a very scientific reason. Massaging the scalp helps increase your blood circulation and balances oils and moisture. Although it is advisable to oil your hair overnight, if you have an oily scalp, do so 45 minutes prior to washing your hair. Mix some lemon juice and heat the oil to help tackle dandruff.
2 Carry a Comb in the Shower
While your hair may seem straight and smooth, they tend to get tangled and form knots while shampooing. While applying conditioner, run a comb through your hair to detangle and spread the conditioner evenly. Comb till the tip of your strands to avoid knots.
3 Avoid Scrubbing your Face
As lovely as the combination of a nice facial scrub under the shower sounds, your skin may quite disagree with you. Exfoliating your skin opens pores and shampooing right away can result in whiteheads and other breakouts. Reverse the sequence and get to face cleansing post your hair care routine.
4 Skip the Hot Water
Avoid washing your hair with hot water. Not only does it lead to more hair breakage, but it can also cause the scalp to lose its natural oils. Wash your hair separately with warm water and let it air dry before combing.
