Having a series of makeup steps to follow every day can be quite the task, especially when you are short on time. However, you also have the option to invest in a few handy tools to minimise your efforts.
1 Blemish Remover
A breakout right before a big event can be a mood killer. While there are several over-the-counter solutions, what works best is a concoction of crushed aspirin mixed with distilled water. Blend it until it becomes a paste. When left for a few minutes, it reduces inflammation and redness and decreases the size of the breakout.
2 Cat-Eyed Wing
Grab a tablespoon, use the spoon curve to draw the angle and handle for a line. Once done, fill it in and make it thicker as per your liking.
3 Conceal Right
A cakey concealer always shows. What is worse is when we simply try to cover the blemishes and end up with over-lightened patches. The best way to hide undereye circles is to apply the product in the form of a triangle, with the base under the eyelash and tip ending at the bottom of the cheek. This evens out the skin tone and brightens your face.
4 Avoid Lipstick on the Teeth
An age-old trick but still works wonders. Once you have applied your lipstick, put your finger in your mouth and close lips around the fingers. The excess lipstick will then settle around the lips and not your teeth.
5 Dry Shampoo to the Rescue
Apply dry shampoo a day before your event. You can also use talcum powder to absorb the excess oil from your scalp. The next morning, blow dry your hair for some volume.
